When we were asked to provide some of our Jakob stainless steel wire ropes for the RHS Kitchen Garden at this year’s Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, we had no hesitation in saying yes, especially as the garden was being designed to promote ways of growing fresh food at home.
Award-winning designer Juliet Sargent created the Kitchen Garden which featured herbs, edible flowers and vegetables. The plants were not only grown in traditional beds, pots and planters, but also vertically on our Jakob Green Wall trellis system. The wire (or mesh) structure has been designed to encourage plants to grow upwards, thereby giving shape, structure and style to any garden.
To add colour, life and interest to the design, a selection of herbs was added to climb the stainless steel wire trellis.
The Jakob Webnet and stainless steel wire rope assemblies are fast and easy to install – a feature which was particularly useful given the tight build programme!
And the end result was absolutely stunning!
